QUINUA GRAIN This grain is highly
appreciated for its nutritional value since
its protein content is very high (12 to 18%) which Quinoa is exceptionally high in Lysine, cystine and methionine – amino-acids which are typically low in other grains. About half a cup of Quinoa a day will provide children with all their protein needs for one day. Cooked Quinoa is
great in hot casseroles and soups, stews and salads. It cooks very quickly
(only 15 minutes). Uncooked grain may be added to soups, stews and Quinoa
is often used as a substitute for rice. |
