GRAVIOLA
Graviola (also known
as soursoup) has a long history of use in herbal medicine. All parts
of the graviola tree are used in natural medicine, including the bark,
leaves, roots, fruit and fruit seeds, each part with different properties.
The bark and the leaves are used as sedatives
and antispasmodics in the treatment of depression, stress and nervous
disorders. Graviola is used for its whole body calming
effects and as a supplement to help maintain
a positive mood.
The research carried out up to date is very promising and scientists
have been studying the properties of Graviola since the 1940s. Chemicals
with significant antitumourous properties against all types of cancer
cells have been found in this plant. Several pharmaceutical companies
and universities continue to research, test, patent and attempt to synthesize
these chemicals into chemotherapy drugs. Graviola is certainly a powerful
natural remedy. Its leaves are also used against diabetes.
