CARQUEJA
Carqueja has been used for centuries
to cure common ailments. In Peruvian medicine today, Carqueja is
used as a natural aid for diabetes. Several studies
confirm its blood sugar-lowering effects in mice, rats and humans in
          both normal and diabetic subjects.
Carqueja is one of the most widely known and used medicinal plants in
Brazil and other parts of South America. Most of its traditional uses
have been validated time and time again by research and it appears in
the official pharmacopoeias of South American countries as a specific
          liver and digestive aid.
Almost every book published in South America on herbal medicine includes
this wonderful plant. It is well reputed for being so effective
for liver and stomach disorders as well as a good
blood cleanser and for its hypoglycaemic
          properties.
